Decimal Access

If I wanted to access my Decimal software via a mobile phone or tablet, would I need to install an App?

No. An app is not required to access Decimal. Just go to and enter your username and password.

Can I use Decimal on my ipad?

Absolutely. Decimal was designed for mobile computing.

Can I access Decimal without an internet connection?

Decimal requires an internet connection. If you're on the move, a 3G mobile connection will be fine.

What software do I need to install?

Decimal is true cloud-based software which means that you don't need to install any software and you can always be sure that you have access to the most up-to-date version. Decimal is accessible through the web browser you use on your PC, laptop or iPad/tablet and for security reasons, we develop and test on the latest version of the following browsers:

  • Internet explorer
  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Safari
  • iOS7+ (iPad2+)

We recommend that you update to the latest version of your preferred browser to ensure all security patches have been applied. However, we understand that for operational reasons, some companies use earlier versions. For this reason, we also support all versions of browsers that are supported by the browser vendor. Data Security, Storage & Data Access

Is my data stored in Australia?

Yes, your data, including all backups, is physically stored in Australia. A copy of our privacy policy is available upon request.

If I have multiple user access, can I control the level of access or block them from certain areas?

Yes. It's as simple as setting up which levels of access each of your users require to be productive.

Can more than one user log into the software at any one time?

Yes. Decimal supports multiple concurrent users

Can Decimal guarantee that the data transferred to the cloud is secure?

Decimal uses industry standard encryption to get your data safely to and from our secure enterprise grade data centre. Multiple copies of your data is stored for safe keeping.

Data Migration

Can Decimal import existing data from programs such as Excel?

Yes. Decimal can import static data regarding your clients from an excel spreadsheet or CSV file provided by you. In addition, Decimal receive uploads from Morning Star (fund information) and Rice Warner (insurance information) which is also used to assist you in managing your client information and in your SOA production.

How do I export from Decimal?

You can export all your data into a Microsoft Excel file at any time.
